Facility Improvements & Shakespeare in the Park

This summer, Ashley Skeffington will direct our sixth annual Shakespeare in the Park, bringing A Midsummer Night’s Dream to communities across Essex County. Watch our social media pages and website for performance dates and locations!
Facility Improvements
Bolles Hall, our second-floor space, has been transformed into a black-box theater, with black walls, ceiling, and a flexible layout designed to support a variety of performance styles and audience experiences.
We’ve also completed necessary repairs to our front courtyard steps after years of wear, enhancing both safety and accessibility – with handrails soon to follow.
Get Involved
We’re still seeking creative leaders interested in helping to shape the creative future of the Playhouse with two potential programs: a Choral Director to build a community vocal ensemble and an Improv Director to develop an improv troupe.
