Welcome to the Salem Playhouse!

Formerly known as The Bridge at 211, we’ve re-emerged with a new name and a renewed sense of purpose. In partnership with the Olde Essex Stage Company, we are working to cultivate artistic excellence and bring new life to our historic building through a wide range of future programming. Together, we envision the Salem Playhouse as a mid-sized, multifunctional performing arts and education space.

The Salem Playhouse building is a cornerstone of Salem’s rich history, and our dedication to its preservation is unwavering. Since becoming a nonprofit in 2016, we have remained committed to the arts and to creating a welcoming space for connection, creativity, and shared experience.
