Julius Caesar (a staged reading)​

The Salem Playhouse is excited to announce auditions for our upcoming staged reading of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, details can be found below.

***This production will be performed in a NON-ADA accessible venue.***

 

Auditions

Auditions will be held virtually via Zoom on Saturday, January 31st. Once you have reserved your audition spot, you will be sent a selection of pieces from Julius Caesar to choose for your audition.

Rehearsals

This rehearsal process is designed to be accommodating and the rehearsal schedule will be developed based on the availability of the individuals who are cast. Rehearsals will begin in March. We will be holding 2-3 rehearsals.

 

Performances

Sunday, March 15th - 7:00PM

A Midsummer Night's Dream​

The Olde Essex Stage Company and Salem Playhouse are excited to announce auditions for our 6th Annual Shakespeare in the Park, details can be found below.

 

Auditions

Auditions will be held virtually via Zoom on Saturday, February 7th.

Please prepare a 2-3 minute Shakespearean monologue for this audition.

Callbacks

Callbacks will be held in person on Sunday, February 15th at the Salem Playhouse.

Rehearsals
Rehearsals will begin in late April. More information about rehearsals will be given during the audition process.

Performances

Friday, June 19th  
Saturday, June 20th
Sunday, June 21st
Friday, June 26th
Saturday, June 27th  
Sunday, June 28th
Performances will take place in various locations around Essex County.

God of Carnage​

Auditions will be held virtually via Zoom on Friday, February 6th and Sunday, February 8th. Once you have reserved your audition spot, you will be sent a selection of pieces from God of Carnage to prepare for your audition.

Callbacks will be held in person on Saturday, February 14th at the Salem Playhouse.

Rehearsals
Rehearsals will begin in late February or early March. More information about rehearsals will be given during the audition process.
