James Blatchford

Director

James Blatchford has worked in the public sector for over a decade. Currently he serves as the Director of Elections for the City of Medford. Previously serving as the Town Clerk for the Town of West Newbury and Assistant City Clerk for Haverhill. Also serving as a member of the Planning Board and School Committee for the City of Lawrence. James received his BLA from UMass Lowell with a concentration in History and Political Science and has a Graduate Certificate in Public Management from UMass Dartmouth. He is also certificated by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks and Massachusetts Town Clerks Association as a Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) and a Certified Massachusetts Municipal Clerk (CMMC). James previously served on the Board of the Olde Essex Stage Company and is elated to join the Salem Playhouse and help grow and create a space for live performance in the North Shore and Massachusetts.
